The opening last friday was good fun. Thanks to everybody who showed up and thanks to Jeroen and Joe for having me. The show will be there the next two weeks, so make sure to check it out before I take it down. I am currently working on my new show called 'Happy Endings' which will open the 2nd of may. That's pretty soon so I'll be stuck in my studio the next weeks, but I will be at the release of the 'Haat & Nijd' magazine by hoax and liefhebber. They asked me and a couple of other Utrecht-based designers to contribute to the zine, so I can't wait to see how it turned out. The release is this thursday at cafe 't Hart, check out the nice flyer for all the details.

This last few days were good ones. I went to see Yuri's play 'Elektra 'ad fundum' in the lovely city of Antwerp, great time. The play was great and being there surrounded by friends was even better. The day after we went to Gent to go to the opening of Ed Templeton's 'The Cemetery Of Reason'. I was blown away. Pictures, drawings & paintings everywhere you looked. Great inspiration. Make sure to check that one out if you have the chance. Next few days will be filled with preparing for my own show at your:own gallery, looking forward to the opening.

Friday the 9th of april is my opening at your own gallery in Amsterdam. The show is called 'We look for the sun in the wrong places' and will feature a selection of the work I made in Norway during my artist in residence. I went by your own gallery today to check out their new space. They only have it available for a couple of months but were kind enough to invite me as one of the exhibiting artists. Check out the amazing list of contributing artists and I think you can see why I am so excited to be a part of this. More information and an official invitation will follow but for now make sure to mark your calender the 9th of April.

It feels weird being back again. Although you feel like everything will be different when you get back, you'll soon find out everything is pretty much the same as when you left. I guess that's both a good as a bad thing. My last few days I've been checking out old photo slides from my grandparents. I got 4 boxes full of wonderful family history. I think they will be an important inspiration for my coming show 'Happy Endings' this may. Since the theme is family life I guess I can use the slides one way or another. More on the show later, all I can tell you now is that the opening will be the 2nd of may.

Today was my official last day in Trondheim, tomorrow in the early morning I'm heading back to Holland again. What an experience. These last two months wouldn't have been the same without Cathrine and Ørjan. From day 1 they have been taking care of me, making sure I didn't miss a single party, thanks guys. Also all the other people I met, I wouldn't have been the same without you; Sylvia, Ashkan, Willemijn, Markus, Ahmed, Rina, Omar, Martha, Lars, Martin, Elisabeth, David, Lina, Jason, Howie, Claudio, and of course Ina, thanks for doing an awesome show with me. I hope to see you all soon. As a final goodbye to the city of Trondheim, I left behind a small project I did last week.

Today was my official last day in Trondheim, tomorrow in the early morning I'm heading back to Holland again. What an experience. Now that the pictures of our show are online, it was time to take everything down, and paint everything white again. That part always make me sad. But it was worth all the work, the opening night was really fun. What's even worse than repainting is the fact that I only have one week left here. It feels really good to end my stay here with a nice project, I think I did well here and I must confess I am looking forward to eating some decent cheese again and riding my bike instead of walking on icy streets. But I am gonna miss this place, last few weeks have been really good and I have met some incredible people, so I guess I will be back here sooner or later.

Tonight is the opening of the show Ina and I worked on for the last few weeks, especially the last few days were really buisy and weird. It seemed like everyhting we had planned didn't turn out the way we expected so the whole process was a long way of finding new plans, changing concepts etc. But I guess that goes well with the title of the show. So we let a lot go, and we are ending up with something quite exciting. We're almost done now, so we're looking forward to the opening, pictures will follow after the weekend.
